I don't know why they don't trust me
I've never given them reason not to
I don't know why they don't understand
I think I've been pretty clear
I don't know why they can't give me my space
They keep pushing me farther and farther away
I don't know why they trap me in this cage...
as if someday I won't escape?
It's hard to feel not trusted, but I would guess they might be coming from a place of fear...it's hard to let go of your most treasured object because you'd never be the same if something happened to it...
